Senator John J. Cronin was elected to the Senate in 2020 and is running for reelection to represent the communities of Ashby, Clinton, Fitchburg, Groton, Lancaster, Leominster, Lunenburg, Shirley, Townsend, and Westford, which make up the Worcester and Middlesex District.
Senator Cronin is a statewide leader in efforts to increase access to vocational training and further align programming with regional workforce needs. He is a strong advocate for building partnerships between local industry and comprehensive high schools that provide vocational training programming to students. As a freshman Senator, John successfully advocated for $600,000 to expand Innovation Pathways programs statewide to address a growing social mobility and opportunity crisis. In his second year in office, John worked to expand funding for these programs to $5 million in the fiscal year 2023 budget.
