Andy Biggs was first elected to serve the people of Arizona’s Fifth District in 2016. He currently serves on the House Oversight and Reform Committee and the House Judiciary Committee, where he is Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
From 2019 through 2021, he served as Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. He is currently co-chair of the Border Security Caucus, Vice Chair of the Congressional Western Caucus, and a co-founder of the bipartisan War Powers Caucus.
The first full day I was sworn in office, I kept my campaign pledge to cosponsor a bill to reduce burdensome federal regulations (The REINS Act). I have and will continue to fight onerous regulations that hamper the American entrepreneurial spirit and economy.
Congress has wrongfully delegated its duties to the Executive Branch. Unelected bureaucrats often create regulations to further their own agenda to the detriment of the American people and our economy.
I have supported President Trump and Congress as we overturned 15 major regulations that have already saved billions of dollars.
