After Sandy Hook ten years ago, we said never again. Since then, there have been 3,865 mass shootings. It is far too easy for dangerous individuals to obtain firearms with the primary objective to harm others. The time to act is long overdue. Every day we don’t act, more lives are cut short. We need to act now. As your Assemblymember, I pledge to continue to work tirelessly to pass critically needed measures to end gun violence. We must act now. The gun violence must end. Join me in our fight for sensible gun laws:

• Voted for AB1621 which bans the manufacturing, possession or sale of guns that don’t meet federal standards around background checks and would require serial numbers on all guns, tightening ghost gun laws
• Voted for AB1769  which prohibits the sale of firearms, firearm precursor parts and ammunition at the Ventura County Fair and Ventura County Event Center
• Voted for AB2156 which expands the prohibitions on the manufacture of firearms without proper state licensing
• Voted for AB2552, increasing the fines on gun show producers and vendors who fail to comply with specified requirements, and requires the DOJ to conduct annual inspections of one-half of all gun shows and events 
• Voted for AB2239 creating a 10-year firearm prohibition for individuals convicted of child abuse and elder and dependent adult abuse involving violence. 
• Supporting Governor Newsom’s SB1327 to allow for citizen action in enforcing assault weapon and ghost gun laws
• Supporting SB1384 which would require firearms dealers to install audio and video surveillance systems in stores and purchase insurance and preventing “straw purchases”
• Supporting the reinstatement of a nationwide ban on assault weapons 
• Supporting mandatory state and national gun registration
• Supporting universal mandatory background-checks for all gun sales
• Supporting mandatory trigger locks that require a fingerprint to be discharged 
• Supporting safe storage legislation
• Supporting local agencies to better enforce red flag laws
