Meg was born and raised in our community. She attended Chocksett and Houghton schools before graduating from Wachusett Regional High School. Growing up, Meg spent much of her childhood in Clinton, where all of her grandparents lived. After graduating from Stonehill College with a B.A. in History, Meg began working in State Representative Harold Naughton’s office.
For the past 10 years, Meg has been crafting public safety legislation to ensure a safer Commonwealth, and to ensure our towns and communities are kept safe. Meg supports our veterans and members of our military and supports the Valor Act and the Brave Act. She has worked on major legislation including the 2014 historic gun reform package and 2018 Red Flag legislation, improvements, and updates to statutes governing the National Guard. Meg Kilcoyne supports our firefighters and members of law enforcement and their efforts to continually protect our towns. As State Representative, Meg will fight to ensure that there are police reforms including training and ensuring that there is accountability within our police forces. Meg supports the Black and Latino Caucus 10 Point Plan. She also supports continued efforts to ensure gun safety by tracking guns used in crimes, collecting data on gun violence and regulations on ghost guns.
