In our towns, Meg will fight to protect and increase funding for our community hospitals and local health resources. Meg supports the ROE Act and will do everything in her power to protect reproductive rights. Meg will fight to address inequalities in maternal healthcare regardless of socioeconomic status. Meg also supports the Healthy Youth Act, and she will fight to ensure members of our communities regardless of backgrounds are able to access affordable and quality healthcare resources, especially for women and those who are vulnerable.

Meg supports our veterans and members of our military and supports the Valor Act and the Brave Act. She has worked on major legislation including the 2014 historic gun reform package and 2018 Red Flag legislation, improvements, and updates to statutes governing the National Guard. Meg Kilcoyne supports our firefighters and members of law enforcement and their efforts to continually protect our towns. As State Representative, Meg will fight to ensure that there are police reforms including training and ensuring that there is accountability within our police forces. Meg supports the Black and Latino Caucus 10 Point Plan. Education

Meg attended our public schools and will fight to increase Ch. 70 Funding. She supports the Student Opportunity Act which provides funding for educating our most vulnerable, under-served students, our special needs students, English language learning, as well as providing guidance and “wrap around” services.

Clinton, Northborough, Boylston, Berlin, Sterling, and Lancaster schools serve our towns well- but are unique as some represent rural communities. Meg knows that our rural school districts are underfunded and under resourced. Meg will work hard to make sure kids have the tools they need to succeed and teachers and support staff are supported and have a voice at school. Meg knows that success in our more rural school districts means collaboration and building coalitions between state and local educational officials and lawmakers, families and teachers.

  • Increase Ch. 70 Funding for our public schools
  • Support Student Opportunity Act
  • Support our regional and rural schools
  • Protect our public schools

Climate Change

Across the country and right here in our communities we have seen the effects of climate change, as we are susceptible to flooding. Meg will fight to ensure that our towns are minimizing our carbon footprint. Meg supports the 2050 Roadmap to ensure that the Commonwealth’s Carbon Emissions are net-zero by the year 2050. Our towns have natural resources that must be protected such as the Wachusett Watershed among others and we must take our conservation efforts seriously to provide for a better future.

  • Fight for conservation efforts
  • Protect our community’s natural resources
  • Wachusett Watershed - Ensure it remains clean
  • 2050 Roadmap - DeCarbonization - Net-Zero

Economic Development

Meg will fight to grow our local economy, like what is currently happening in Clinton's historic downtown area. Meg will fight to ensure that our towns receive the necessary funding required to ensure that we are not forgotten as we go through economic recovery due to COVID-19. She will work to promote state funding for meaningful local development, support our vocational schools to allow the next generation of workers to have the necessary skills to excel in the current and future economy. Our district severely needs an increase in accessibility to public transit to Worcester and Boston so that commuters will  be less reliant on Route 2 and the Mass Pike. Diversifying the modes of transportation for people going out of the district, will also increase the flow of business coming into our towns to assist in revitalizing our local economy.

  • Invest in infrastructure
  • Promote state funding for local development
  • Vocational Schools - Job Training
  • Ensure businesses are following COVID-19 Protocols while maximizing business as we recover as a Commonwealth
