I am running for Congress because I believe that I was called to serve. As a Congressional member, I promise to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. With my 9 years of experience serving in local government, as well as my 30 years of experience managing a business, I believe that I am the best person to improve our congressional district.
I will support our rights to the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and the right to petition the government.
I will support our rights to keep and bear arms.
I will support our rights to be protected from unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause.
I will work on ensuring our federal laws follow the Constitution of the United States of America.
We share approximately 7,000 miles of land, river, lake, and costal borders with Canada and Mexico. These borders are gateways to our economic prosperity as well as our security and national sovereignty. I will promote legal trade and tour while supporting ways to best secure our border from the illegal movement of weapons, drugs, contraband, and people.
The main functions of governments are to establish laws to maintain order, provide service, and protect people. Governments’ power should be used appropriately within existing constitutional boundaries and current laws. I will support laws which promote the highest transparency, integrity, and honesty in our government. I will support laws that keep government officials’ compensations reasonable. I will support term limits for federal, state, and local officials.
I will support due process and prohibit self-incrimination and double jeopardy. I will support a speedy public trial by jury and oppose excessive fines and excessive bail, as well as cruel and unusual punishment.
We must protect our homes, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods from criminals by ways of deterrence. I support showing mercy, but we must seek proper justice for those who commit crimes. I will support laws that hold officials accountable who selectively neglect to do their jobs.
Criminals should pay restitution to society and their victims for what they have committed. Additionally, I will work on setting up policies to help victims financially and to help them get their lives back.
As a mental health advocate, I have teamed up with organizations to support those who are struggling with homelessness as a result of mental illness. I will support legislations to encourage various treatment centers to help victims with substance abuse and to make sure that they are cared for properly to return back to their lives.
As a proud parent of two wonderful daughters who graduated from public schools, I will help schools maintain high standards. I support school choice, and I will empower parents to use their ability to decide which schools are best for their kids. I will oppose any identity-based entrance policies. I believe that we need to be fair in choosing which schools our children are allowed to attend.
As a business owner, I understand that it is vital to provide businesses with a steady environment. I will support the removal of over-burden regulations while promoting legislations to aid and protect U.S. based businesses and workers from unfair practices within the United States of America and foreign entities.
