Tracey Mann was elected to the 117th Congress of the U.S. House of Representatives and serves the “Big First” District of Kansas. Congressman Mann is a tireless advocate for Kansas agriculture and conservative Kansas values.
Congressman Mann is a fifth generation Kansan, who was born and raised on his family farm just south of Quinter. He is also the fifth generation to live in the family farmhouse that his great-great-grandfather ordered from Montgomery Ward catalogue in the early 1900’s. Growing up in production agriculture Congressman Mann learned the value of hard work at a young age as he spent thousands of hours in the fields and on the family feed yard. Some of his fondest memories of those days were working cattle with his with his grandfather, father, and brother on Saturday afternoons while listening to K-State football on the radio.
The Second Amendment is a load-bearing wall of our Constitution. If you weaken a load-bearing wall, you damage the structure, and the entire building can come crashing down. That is why I support legislation that upholds the Second Amendment rights of the American people. I have also introduced pro-Second Amendment legislation including H.R. 1758, the Home Defense and Competitive Shooting Act, pushing back on Biden Administration policies that seek to re-define pistols as short-barreled rifles, and eliminating the prohibition on transporting short-barreled rifles in interstate commerce.
We can no longer sit idle and watch Washington Democrats attempt to strip away our right to keep and bear arms in pursuit of their progressive agenda. I will stand up against any effort to diminish or weaken the rights of law-abiding citizens to own, carry, and use firearms.
