When speaking with residents of Haverhill and Methuen, one remark always gets brought up about my candidacy, my age. Often it is a positive comment. "We need fresh ideas in the State House" "I love when young people take such a government interest." One word, in particular, caught me off guard because I had never been asked that question before. How did you get involved in public service at such a young age?
According to the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, 8.7 percent of all Massachusetts bridges are considered structurally deficient, including the Basiliere Bridge in Haverhill and the Route 213 bridge in Methuen. With more than $27 million in federal dollars coming to the Commonwealth over the next five years to address our desperate infrastructure needs, Ryan will work with local and state officials to ensure our top infrastructure priorities are being funded and work is done quickly and efficiently.
