Community Project Funding

The U.S. House of Representatives is formally accepting Member Designated Project requests from House Members for possible inclusion in this year’s appropriations authorization processes.  Congressman Richard Hudson has recommended that the following projects in North Carolina’s Eighth Congressional District be considered to receive funding through the Member Designated Project process.

Projects are listed in alphabetical order by the project sponsor or intended recipient below.

Title of Request: Child Development Center

Proposed Recipient: Fort Bragg located at 3550 All American Fwy, Fort Bragg, NC 28310

Amount of the Request: $36,000,000

Purpose: The project would be a valuable use of taxpayer funds because the existing deficit of Child Development Center spaces at Fort Bragg creates an unnecessary hardship on soldiers stationed at the installation. This lack of available childcare has a negative impact on mission execution, readiness, and soldier morale.
