Addressing climate change is perhaps the most urgent challenge that we face as policy makers. We must devote the time and energy to alternative energy solutions.

• Pat opposes expanding large multinationals’ ability to pump natural gas into our region. However, in Holyoke we do need viable and responsible options for energy to supplement our existing supply. Responsible options must include analysis of the impact to the residents of Holyoke and their ability to maintain affordable energy.

• Pat supports the “Green Budget”- a goal of 1% of the State’s budget moving forward would be directed to environmental protections and programs.
