Born and raised in Ventura County, Matt attended Conejo Valley public schools and was valedictorian of his Thousand Oaks High School class. He went to UCLA on an academic scholarship (graduating in the top 1% of his class) before earning a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton and a law degree from NYU.
For America to remain the land of opportunity, every child must receive a world-class education. In Congress, Matt will support public school teachers — like his mother — who put children first, while embracing charter education and fighting to end policies that trap Ventura County's most vulnerable children in failing schools.
