A lifelong resident of Cape Cod with more than 30 years of combined legal, law enforcement, and military experience, Jay McMahon is ready on day one to fight for you as Massachusetts Attorney General.Throughout his career, McMahon has been a highly successful trial attorney having litigated cases at every level in Massachusetts Court system, as well as within the Federal system. His small business is located in Buzzards Bay and employs several area residents. Additionally, McMahon had served in law enforcement during the 1970’s, and has over 12 years of corporate management experience.
Jay understands we need to take this issue seriously to help people with addiction get their lives back, and support law enforcement by drying up the source of this poison. Jay is passionate about effectively resolving this issue after losing his Veteran son Joel to opiate addiction. Jay has a 3-part Plan that will effectively address the epidemic.
Quality, long-term care; treatment for those with addiction.
Intense law enforcement and “extreme” prosecution to dry up the source.
Cooperate with Federal authorities.
Deaths due to opiate addiction have doubled in the last 4 years, while our current Attorney General has been in office. Maura Healey is essentially doing nothing to solve the problem. In fact, she refuses to cooperate with federal authorities, and wants Massachusetts to be a “Sanctuary State.”
At a time when certain judges release violent and dangerous repeat offenders who then push more drugs to our kids, and endanger the public while putting our law enforcement officer’s lives at risk, Jay will fight for maximum sentencing.
