Rep. Mrvan believes that more work must be done to build an economy that works for everyone and that provides education and economic opportunities for all.

Throughout his career, Congressman Mrvan has worked to identify federal, state, local, private and nonprofit resources that allow Northwest Indiana residents to get a good-paying job, take care of their family, and succeed in a career that allows them to have a good quality of life. In the 117th Congress, he will continue to use his years of experience to work with all stakeholders to create more economic opportunities for everyone and help retain and attract investments to Indiana’s First Congressional District.

Rep. Mrvan supported the American Rescue Plan in order to get past the pandemic and build momentum to grow our economy.  Moving forward, the Congressman will continue to work to implement infrastructure legislation with strong Buy America requirements.  He will also continue to focus on assisting Northwest Indiana through the extension and expansion of the South Shore Rail Line, enhancing the Gary/Chicago International Airport, and increasing visitors to the Indiana Dunes National Park.
