Frank J. Mrvan is the United States Representative for the First Congressional District of Indiana.
Congressman Mrvan understands the importance of good-paying jobs and a growing economy that works for everyone. In the U.S. House of Representatives, he will look for opportunities to be a servant leader and bring Northwest Indiana together to make investments and grow the regional economy.
In the 117th Congress, Rep. Mrvan has the honor of being able to support veterans as the Chairman of the Technology Modernization Subcommittee within the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
Throughout his career as an elected official, Rep. Mrvan has worked to support the health and livelihoods of veterans.
The Subcommittee on Technology Modernization has oversight and investigative jurisdiction over the Department of Veterans Affairs’ major IT projects and technology modernization programs, such as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization program and the Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT). The Subcommittee also oversees cybersecurity, data privacy and management, and technology innovation at VA. One of the Subcommittee’s priorities will be to oversee the Department of Veterans Affairs major $16 billion electronic health record modernization project.
Rep. Mrvan will continue to draw from his formative experiences and conversations with Northwest Indiana veterans into all of the pressing issues before the Committee.
