Elaine Alaniz

I was born in the inner city of Houston, Texas, and raised by my mother in a single-parent household. As the oldest of four children, I had to take up the role of caregiver for my three younger siblings while my mother worked full-time. As the sole breadwinner of our household, she always put food on the table and taught us never to give up regardless of our circumstances. I joined the workforce to support my family and myself at a very young age. As a person with mild dyslexia, it only added more challenges and stresses to get through high school and work a full schedule simultaneously.

Health And Public Safety

Failed leadership, destructive policies, and forced mandates have left California communities, particularly the residents in AD54, in disparity, unsafe, and less protected. With rising violent crimes at an all-time high 94.24% increase in homicides, 64.88% in grand theft auto, and astronomical staffing shortages. Elaine will keep our communities safe by:

  • Pro-Life: Protect and advocate for the lives of the most vulnerable "The Unborn."
  • Defend the constitutional and medical freedoms of our first responders, which include firefighters, police officers, military, medical providers, state and city employees, and California residents which included school-aged children and employers by revisiting and reevaluating legislative oversight of Emergency Executive Powers.
  • Pro-Second Amendment: Continue to fight to uphold the right “to keep and bear arms” as an individual's right to own and legally use.
  • Pro Law Enforcement: Support to fully fund our Law Enforcement Heroes and help protect qualified immunity for eligible Law Enforcement.
  • Pro-Border Security: We must secure our borders as the utmost priority to prevent crime, as it encourages and funds human and child trafficking, year to date 750 illegal migrants have died in the process, and it has also allowed an uptick in drugs to enter our cities, particularly fentanyl, which is killing 300 Americans a day, as well as putting our first responders in harms way. I will work with my colleagues in the Assembly, Senate, and Congress to secure our borders, keep individuals with bad intentions out, and encourage LEGAL immigration.
  • Continue to invest in Public Safety by building up the morale within agencies by guaranteeing fair wages and working conditions, funding recruitment efforts, infusing training and facilities, allocating funds for new technology and tools, and providing educational seminars to bridge the gap between the public and response agencies.
  • Budget accordingly and fund Brush Clearing Services to prevent structure and wildland fires to keep our communities safe.
  • Fix our broken Mental Health System and homelessness one step at a time by increasing and reopening mental health care facilities and utilizing vacant hospitals, actively recruiting, hiring and training qualified facility staff to fill vacancies to provide support 24/7 for those in immediate crisis (short-term and long-term) in efforts to also free up our first responders.
