Brian Dahle

Brian Dwain Dahle (born September 20, 1965) is an American politician serving in the California State Senate for the 1st district since 2019.[2] A member of the Republican Party, Dahle served as minority leader of the California State Assembly while representing the 1st Assembly district. Before his election to the state legislature, Dahle was a farmer and Lassen County Supervisor.[3]

On June 4, 2019, Dahle won a special election to fill the State Senate seat vacated by Ted Gaines, who resigned after his election to the California Board of Equalization.[4] After Dahle joined the State Senate, his wife Megan Dahle was elected to his vacated Assembly seat. Dahle is the Republican nominee for governor of California in the 2022 election.

  • I will work to rebuild the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement in the Department of Justice so the state can support local law enforcement in cracking down on drug traffickers.
  • Fentanyl dealers are not engaging in “victimless crime.” They are poisoning our children and leaving a trail of death. I will treat fentanyl dealers like the killers they are.
  • The voters created a legal system for growing and selling cannabis, but illegal growing remains rampant. These growers are avoiding taxes, wrecking the environment, and destroying neighborhoods while the state largely turns a blind eye. If growers want to join the legitimate system, they should, but we will not tolerate lawlessness.
