Jonathan Chavez is a decorated veteran that served in the United States Air Force medical field for over 23 years including tours in Iraq. While in Iraq, Jonathan Chavez was the non-commissioned officer in charge of a joint service medical team of 12 members he led through over 400 trauma situations in support of the largest forward deployed Air Force Theater Hospital since the Vietnam War in a combat environment. Recognized as the subject matter expert in the Iraqi Area of Responsibility, he was personally requested by the medical commander at a local forward operating base (FOB) in Iraq for a mission to instruct other medical technicians in radiography.
